Q. What is OCCF Powering Good?

OCCF Powering Good supports the vital work and mission of the community foundation to:

  • Partner with local nonprofit leaders and philanthropists to create lasting impact

Q. Who can donate?

Anyone may donate. Donations through the OCCF Powering Good online portal are tax-deductible and cannot be refunded. Contributions may be made via credit card, debit card, check, and OCCF Donor Advised funds.

Checks can be addressed to the Orange County Community Foundation and “Powering Good” in the memo. They should be mailed to the Orange County Community Foundation, 4041 MacArthur Blvd., Suite 510, Newport Beach, CA 92660.


Q. Is my contribution tax deductible?

Yes, your gift is entirely tax deductible. You will receive an email confirmation that can serve as your receipt for tax deduction purposes.


Q. Is there a minimum gift?

There is a $25 minimum donation.

Q. How much of my donation goes to the nonprofit?

Credit Card: There is a platform and credit card processing fee of 4.7% + $.030 for credit card donations including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You are given the option to cover these fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to OCCF.

Donor Advised Fund: Donations via a donor advised fund or checks will not incur any additional fees. 100% of your online charitable gift will go to OCCF.

Check: Donations via check will not incur any additional fees. 100% of your online charitable gift will go to OCCF.

ACH: There is an ACH fee of 2.5% and $3.00 for ACH transactions. You are given the option to cover these fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to OCCF.


Q. Who will receive my contact information?

The Orange County Community Foundation will have access to your name and email address. This information is used solely to send a donation acknowledgement and thank you message, provide the option to receive future notifications, and to notify you of future activities.

You can choose to make an anonymous gift and none of your contact information will be shared on the public donation site.
